Wedgwood Tile "In a Fix" Sport Fishing Series

This tile is part of the humorous six tile series entitled "An Eventful Days Fishing" designed at Wedgwood between 1870-1900. The title of this tile is "In a Fix". It shows a fisherman with his line caught in the trees. The thrashing of the branches seem to have caught the attention of the bull in the background. The tile measures 6" square and 3/8" thick. The back has the embossed mark "JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA". The condition is very good. The surface is unworn and shiny with a flake on the top left corner. A great series to collect.
