Vintage tile from the American Encaustic Tile Compnay AETCO of Zanesville Ohio. Measures 4 1/4" square and shows a Pilgrim holding a book in a raised line process. Marked AE on the back. C. 1940-50
This tile has been reclaimed, appears to have been cut out with a tile saw and the back mortar ground down. The bottom edge is chipped and the right edge barely shaved by the saw.
