Large 9 " X 4" x 1" thick ceramic tile by Enfield Pottery of Enfield PA. Shown in their 1920's catalog as No. 302-3. "Morrice dancers in low relief. After ivory carvings in the British Museum. Date, Middle Ages, Frequently used in panels. fireplaces, etc" a nice rich red clay color. Enfield, like their neighbor Mercer's Moravian Pottery preferred a primitive antique hand made look. Custom framed, it measures 11 1/2" x 7 1/4". Great ink mark for the pottery on the back.
