A detailed and delicate Arts and Crafts era tile by Westraven, a competitor to Porcelyne de Fles (Royal Delft) until they combined to became one company. Designed in cuenca, or raised line, with matte glazes this tile features a golden pheasant perched on a branch. The tile measures about 6" tall, 3 7/8" wide and 1/2" thick. Fully marked on the back. It is self-framed and designed to be hung on the wall as a small piece of art. There are incised holes on the top edge for a hanging string. Excellent original condition.
