Franklin Tile

Spider and Web Tile by Franklin Pottery

$ 895.00
This dramatic art deco era tile was made at the Franklin Tile Company (1923-1935) in Lansdale PA. It shows  a spiderweb and spider surrounded by flowering branches. The tile measures 8 7/8" square. The edges of the tile are glazed in black and there is an embedded hanger into the back of the faience clay body. Some illegible advertising can seen on the plaster that covered the base of the hanger.

The condition is nearly perfect. The detail is impressive, even seeing some texture on the flower petals. One of the most desirable tiles from this company.
