Early Jugtown Pottery Burnt Orange Pitcher North Carolina Folk Art

$ 150.00
A nice and early Jugtown Pottery pitcher, thrown by Ben Owen in a burnt orange glaze. It measures 7 1/2" tall. 7 1/2" across and 5" wide. It has typical inclusions in the clay and has a shallow chip on the rim.  Nice addition to a country, primitive, or cottage decor.

Founded in 1917 Jugtown Pottery opened The Village Store Tea Room in New York City's Greenwich Village, introducing this North Carolina folk art pottery, a dwindling craft, to a new audience.
