French Tube Lined Flower Tile by Sarreguemines

Made at the Sarreguemines factory of France, this antique tile shows a colorful chrysanthemum. The design is tubelined, meaning an artist applied every outline of slip by hand with a syringe much like decorating a cake or cookie. It is a marvelous piece of art in it''s own right, but would also look great in an installation. Shown in the company's catalog from 1905. Measures 6" square. Only 4 available. Excellent condition.
