Robert Maxwell Treasure Craft Mid Century California Pottery Vase

This tall vase looks great sitting on a shelf and mixes with many decors. It measures 9 1/2" tall and about 5 1/2" diameter. The form has a ribbed band at the shoulder and displays the earth tones and Japanese influence of the 1970's. The pot was dipped into different colored glazes, creating overlapping ovals. Unsigned, it is in excellent condition.
Robert Maxwell (1932-2012) began a relationship with Treasure Craft of Compton CA in 1969 and began producing his pottery under the Pottery Craft brand. In a short amount of time the partnership soured and Maxwell left. Pottery Craft continued to manufacture the pottery in his style after his departure.
