Grueby Pottery Tile Grapes Boston Arts and Crafts
$ 495.00
This tile by Grueby Pottery and Faience of Boston Massachussetts dates to about 1910. It shows a cluster of grapes flanked by grape leaves and vines. Meant to be part of a frieze, as shown in the last photo, but a single tile stands well on its own. The tile measures 6" square and 7/8" thick. Made from a cream colored faience clay with curdled matte glazes. Signed "Grueby Boston" on the back and a form number on the edge. Very good original condition with only minor flaws.
Great gift for a wine connoisseur to decorate a wine cellar. Two are available if you need it. Just ask.
