Blue & White Landscape Tile Birch Trees on a River, Germany c1910, Framed
A pretty steel blue and white transfer printed landscape. A pair of birch trees are in the foreground against a wide body of water. A village sits in the background. The tile measures 6" square, unsigned and German in origin dating to about 1910. It is housed in a simple wood frame in the Secessionist style. On the back is marked "19C Werratal", the Werra being a river running through central Germany. Framed, it measures 6 3/4" square. The condition is excellent, the surface of the tile is shiny and unworn. The frame ihas an old chain hanger, ready for display on a wall.
