Gustavsberg Pottery Botanical Tile Plaque in Silver and Blue by Heinz Erret
For a short period in the 1970's Gustavsberg Pottery in Sweden produced wall tile plaques in a floral botanical series designed by Heinz Erret (1920-2003). Sophisticated and scholarly the flowers are presented in an Audubon style rendered in silver against a granite blue glaze background. This tile shows Campanula Patula, Spreading Bellflower. a biennial that can be found in meadows.
The tile measures 13 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide and 1/2" thick. Initialed HE on the lower right and fully marked on the back. Perfect original condition. There is an embedded hanger so this can go right onto a wall of your house or garden.
