Karlsruhe Underwater Sea Life Tile Plaque

A Karlsruhe pottery tile of undersea life in a modern 50's style. It measures 11" tall, 6 3/4" wide and 5/8" thick, the raised line design showing a pair of Butterfly Fish angelfish and a brittle star starfish. It has incised holes on the top edge and wire to facilitate hanging. There were meant to be hung on the walls of a home or garden and used like a ceramic painting. They could still be used in an installation too!. The back has an impressed Karlsruhe mark and made from red clay. It remains in perfect condition.
