JB Cole North Carolina Pottery Yellow Bowl

A large earthenware bowl made by Waymon Cole at the JB Cole Pottery c.1930's. Pinched sides and decorative handles accent this bright yellow glazed bowl, perfect for displaying fruit or even Easter eggs. Hand thrown, no two are exactly alike. It measures 13 1/2" handle to handle, 10 3/4" wide and 5" tall. Looks great displayed with country primitive and arts and crafts decor.

The condition is good for a low fired bowl of this vintage. The bowl is crazed and there are some nicks and rubs on the edges and the handles, a chip on the interior edge and a 1 1/2" line near the handle that doesn't go through to the front.
